2013 LXXI Grand Prix de Monaco Monte Carlo2013 2013 LXXI Grand Prix de Monaco At Monaco for the Grand Prix (260.5 kilometers) in May, the race comes to a German Mercedes F1 W04 under Nico Rosberg (DE) in 2:17:52.1 (average 70.45 mph), under four seconds ahead of a Red Bull driven by Sebastian Vettel. Rosberg, son of former 1982 F1 champion Keke, leads the shunt-plagued event from wire-to-wire for his second series victory as the local favorite in his home city of Monte Carlo, repeats the feat of his father after a thirty-year span, and most significantly, provides the Mercedes marque with its first cross in the principality since the 1937 Grand Prix season with Manfred von Brauchitsch.
