USA Endurance MEMORIES
The 2020 IMSA Weathertech Endurance series launches in late January at the Beach where Wayne Taylor Racing and the Cadillac Dpi-V.R. overcomes late race troubles to storm away with the Rolex 24, its fourth victory in the event.

JanuaryDaytona2020 DaytonaAt Daytona for the 24 Hour in January, the race comes to a Taylor Cadillac DPi-V.R. under Renger van der Zande (NL), Ryan Briscoe (AU), Scott Dixon (NZ), and Kamui Kobayashi (JP) that covers 2965.5 miles (record average 123.51 mph), under 66 seconds ahead of a Mazda driven by Oliver Jarvis, Tristin Nuñez, and Olivier Pla. Moving out front near the midrace point, the Taylor Cadillac easily maintains the point until gremlins in the eighteenth hour compel driver Briscoe to pull off the circuit. To the relief of WTR, Briscoe successfully recycles the electronics and returns to the circuit with the lead, yet troubles befall Briscoe once again after the pilot incurs a 60-second penalty for driving through a red light on the service lane. Seeking redress, a determined Briscoe chases down and passes the race leading Action Express Cadillac under Jõao Barbosa in the twentieth hour before sprinting away to victory by a minute over the field. Taylor Racing, curiously racing without prodigies Ricky and Jordan Taylor, snares its second consecutive and fourth overall 24 title, Dixon takes his third watch and first since 2015, and Van der Zande and Kobayashi earn the cross for the second consecutive season.
